(Washington, D.C.) – “Today, we celebrate the birth of our nation. Two hundred and thirty-three years ago our founding fathers not only declared our independence from Great Britain, they also boldly endeavored to build a nation that understands the universal truth that all men are created equal.

“As we celebrate this great day, let us pause and give a special thanks to our brave men and women in uniform. Let us remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our liberty and let us pray for the safety of those currently serving across the globe.”
