Mark Kirk (R-IL) into the U.S. Senate race in Illinois. “Mark Kirk’s entry into the race for U.S. Senate in Illinois is good news for the Republican Party and for the people of Illinois,” said former representative Tom Davis (R-VA), President and CEO of RMSP. “Mark Kirk’s candidacy represents our party’s best hope at picking up the Senate seat formerly held by President Barack Obama.”

Rep. Kirk made his entry into the race official today – announcing his candidacy in the Chicago suburbs. “Mark Kirk has a distinguished record of legislative accomplishment and is the type of pragmatic, common sense leader that can unite Republicans and win independents and disaffected Democrats in the general election,” continued Davis.
