Washington, D.C. — The Republican Main Street Partnership congratulates Main Street Member Markwayne Mullin on his nomination to serve as the next Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. This nomination marks the fourth Member of the Republican Main Street Partnership to join the President’s Cabinet, alongside Secretary Sean Duffy at the U.S. Department of Transportation, Administrator Lee Zeldin at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer at the U.S. Department of Labor. Main Street Republicans are proud to help advance the agenda of President Donald Trump by delivering results for the American people and providing strong leadership across the administration.
Senator Mullin has built a reputation in Congress as a strong voice for American security, economic opportunity, and common-sense leadership. His experience working with colleagues across the country and his commitment to protecting American communities make him well suited to lead the Department at a critical moment for our national security.
“Senator Mullin understands that protecting the homeland requires strength, accountability, and steady leadership,” said Sarah Chamberlain, President and CEO of the Republican Main Street Partnership. “We congratulate him on this nomination and look forward to working with him to ensure the Department of Homeland Security has the tools it needs to keep Americans safe.”
