Statement from RMSP on the Passing of Former Congressman Tim Murphy

The Republican Main Street Partnership mourns the passing of former Congressman Tim Murphy, whose distinguished career of service included the Navy Reserve, the Pennsylvania State Senate, and nearly 15 years representing the people of western Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.

A clinical psychologist before entering public office, Congressman Murphy dedicated his career to advancing mental health care and ensuring that individuals and families facing mental illness received the support and treatment they deserved. His compassionate leadership helped change the national conversation around mental health and left a lasting impact on countless lives.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Congressman Murphy's family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of service and compassion will endure.
